Stylists share 6 of the skirts they’re shopping for spring

Skirts are having a resurgence this spring and, by the looks of it, well into the summer. As fashion starts to liven up again, shaking off minimalist, sandy neutrals and super-casual streetwear for designs that reimagine proportions, play with structure, and go bold with color, it makes sense that skirts’ blank canvases would be paired right along with this season’s key pieces.

“You can't really avoid skirts right now even if you wanted to: Every length, every fabric, every silhouette is out there competing for attention this spring,” says Elena Mensch, image consultant and style expert at Velvet Image Lab

We’ve talked to some of the top stylists around to get their takes on this year’s big skirt trends and what they’re shopping this year. What we really love? Skirts are a year-round kinda deal, so what you’re layering up with tights and ankle booties now will also likely work with a bodysuit and cool sandals in just a few months.
