FAQ

Use a lightweight body moisturizer after showering, especially if you’re rinsing off more often in hot, sticky weather. “I think that most people should be moisturizing their body after every time that they shower,” Landriscina says.

This keeps your skin hydrated and comfortable from all the dryness frequent showering can cause.

For sweat and odor control, Landriscina prefers antiperspirant. “Antiperspirants are superior to deodorants at preventing body odor in my book because the way that they work is by actually forming a temporary plug in the sweat duct to keep sweat from coming to the surface,” he says.

Yes, setting spray can help makeup stay in place when you’re stuck in thick, hot humid air. Landriscina says the idea behind setting sprays is that “they kind of resolubilize everything into a solution, and then it dries in a layer,” which can help keep makeup from breaking down when exposed to the elements.
