I’m a fashion designer. This is the only laundry detergent I’ll use on my clothes

If anyone knows fabric, it’s a fashion designer. For Suzanne Rae Pelaez, there’s only one laundry detergent she trusts to take care of her creations — and her family’s everyday clothing.

Suzanne Rae Pelaez, founder of her semi-eponymous label Suzanne Rae, is both a fashion designer and a mom — which means her day-to-day involves a lot of fabric (and fabric care). But finding a go-to detergent isn’t the easiest: Some detergents are overly harsh on fine fabrics, and some are too gentle to effectively clean. When it comes to taking care of her creations, as well as the day-to-day of the never-ending family laundry routine, there’s one she knows gets the job done.

“I learned about Zum’s laundry detergent through a friend,” the designer explained. “I smelled it on her and thought she was wearing a perfume. I was like, ‘It smells so good. Is it your deodorant?’ And she's said, ‘It's my laundry detergent.’”
