After 15 years in fitness, this personal trainer trusts two Flux Footwear shoe styles

Staying consistent with exercising can be a challenge, but having the right gear like a reliable pair of gym shoes can make it easier, according to Trilogy Fitness Systems founder Matt Kasee. After 15 years in the fitness industry, he relies on two Flux Footwear styles for stability in the gym and wide toe box comfort everywhere else.

“My day-to-day footwear has now been exclusively Flux footwear—the trainer for the gym and the casual shoe for everyday wearing,” says Matt Kasee, certified personal trainer and founder of Trilogy Fitness Systems in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Having been in the fitness industry for 15 years, Kasee has built his gym and coaching philosophy around taking the guesswork out of exercising so staying consistent is easier. “[People] go immediately to this extreme of physical performance,” he says. “People don’t realize that there’s a starting space for them where they can learn how to safely do things that fit into their lifestyle versus trying to do a complete 180.” For Kasee, the right gear is part of taking the guesswork out of exercise, and after trying different options over the years, Flux is the brand he’s reaching for in and outside of the gym.

He is a strong voice on why the fitness industry over-indexes on motivation and under-delivers on structure, and how that gap is what prevents real, lasting change.
